"WomBelt: Weaving Women back into Matter"
Our womb is a place of great wisdom for ourselves, one an other and to stand soulfully and maturely on and for our Earth's wellbeing. Any trauma will create a damn and a great blockage to the river of our lives.
Each WomBelt is made in the blackstrap weaving method for yourself and/or for an other woman and her womb...
...a choreography, a ritual....as a rite of passage...as a way back to mattering...to honour our womb and the space holding it...weaving women and our stories back together for one an other...to skill up...to make the world of longing...to create beauty...to actively pray for ourselves and one an other...to remember...to mend...to listen... because we Matter, we are matter, mater, mother, Earth... ♥
WHY and WHAT FOR?: Each WomBelt is made in the blackstrap weaving method for yourself and/or for an other woman and her womb...
To mark and celebrate a transitional moments in a woman’s life ~ for example:
~Start of bleeding/mooning
~End of bleeding/menopause
For healing/ releasing grief/ mending ~ for example after :
~Trauma and shock
~Rape, abuse and any violation to a woman’s womb
~Loosing a child to death
~Suicide , both attempt and committed
~Unable to bleed
With praise and prayer <3 Azul
Speaking from our heart yes but how about from our Wombs? Our world needs women to re access the great wisdom of their healed wombs. I have recently re~membered how sick and shocked I was in my mother's womb! That was the first shock of many to follow through neglect, sexual abuse, lack of initiations and war. I have since done some research on what trauma women hold in their Wombs...all of them!
If not accessed, released, witnessed and healed most of us are walking around holding in our Wombs not only the traumas and shocks of all the brutality that happened in this life time ~ we also carry the unreleased abuses and violence of our mothers and grand mothers...We pass on the unreleased trauma to our children and all creative endeavours.
When I started 'WomBelt: Weaving Women back into Matter' last summer after a clear vision, I also looked at the missed celebrations, welcoming and initiations from conception, birth, childhood, moon time to menopause and elderhood. Our world is so very impoverished. However we can enrich it one womb at a time or perhaps 13 at a time while weaving our and each others WomBelts around a living being like a tree.
The power and access to support and wisdom from our wombs is inconceivable. 2018 is calling me to travel to many lands and waters to bring this active prayer to as many women as possible, to train them also and grow the mycelium of WomBelt weavers.
Join me and share this with any woman you know would benefit from realising traumas and welcoming it home to Matter . Limited to 13 women. With tenderness, simmering outrage and fierce love! Azul
'Ce qui se passe est au dela des mots car les zones éveillées, ravivées, réanimées, ne sont pas celles du discours.
WomBelt: Weaving Women back into Matter
AS the seat of life, a woman’s womb is both a sacred and uniquely precious place. Azul Thome, as part of her SOULand enterprise, is inviting women to bless, heal, celebrate and protect their wombs, the wombs of other women and of Mother Earth herself in a special ceremonial weekend.
WomBelt – Weaving Women back into Matter is a two-day ritual that invites women to weave a belt, using the backstrap weaving method and incorporating the prayers and blessings of each woman present on the day. Azul said:
“Weaving a WomBelt is a rite of passage, a way back to mattering. It is a way to honour our womb and to weave women and our stories back together. We will be creating beauty, praying for one another, listening, remembering and mending. As women, we matter, we are matter, we are mater, mother, Earth.”
WomBelts are a ritual way to mark, celebrate and heal. They can be helpful at transitional times in a woman’s life – conception, birth, the start of menstruation, menopause. They are also used for healing, releasing and grief – for example, after rape/abuse, abortion, miscarriage or divorce.
“We begin the ritual by leaning into a tree like the spokes of a wheel or a web. Then we begin weaving using the ancient backstrap method. At a certain point, everyone is invited to rotate moon wise one belt to their right. We then continue weaving the next woman’s WomBelt, adding our own prayers, stories, songs and love as we go. At the end of the ceremony we complete our own WomBelt
before grounding it into the earth with our prayers.”
“The process of creating a WomBelt in the company of other women is extraordinarily healing and grounding. We are expressing that we matter, every one of us. The ceremony of weaving something from nothing is about, healing, mending what is broken, marking transition… We are honouring the many different stages of a woman’s being and celebrating the birthplace of life.”
Azul is working on weaving this vision within other women empowerment projects like TreeSisters and 1 Billion Rising.
Azul also makes WomBelts to order. For more information call: 07765 257517 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
