If you sense it is time for you or someone you care about to receive a SOULbelt - WomBelt (women) or LifeBelt (men) - i am creating these beautiful SOULbelt on commission.

'To weave a SOULbelt - LifeBelt for men or WomBelt for women - is an act of deep care, a move towards service, a gesture of re-spect, a sacred moment in a precious Lifeline.
These unique handmade pieces are created by Azul Thomé (eARTh ARTist and creative visionary) To mark a passAGE, a celebration, a rite.
Made to protect, bless, mend, honour, grieve, praise, welcome, let go...

Azul creates for the living and for the dead. Made in the backstrap weaving ways and practices.

"When commissioned to create we first talk: I ask for your sacred four colours. I facilitate the summoning of your praise and prayer. We create a field together to receive the necessary material in the visible and the invisible.

The frame of the SOULbelt is then slowly set up by the river near me, threads are then tied between my hips, a tree and her mycelium - all is done with consent and offerings.
How intimate! How essential!
All become remembered as we humans, being Web!
An act of homecoming begins once more... "

All are made of either hemp, cotton, pure wool, bamboo or cashmere.
Costs vary between 290€ to  550€ to much more (for a wedding, a burial or a birth). 

Wrapped in a beautiful hand made medicine pouch also hand made.
